you can work your ass off
& the rewards won't pay

Sometimes
you can leave messages for those you miss
& they still won't care

Sometimes
you can be nice to all
& you'll still be treated like shit

Sometimes
your problems are beyond your control
& you've lost your patience

Sometimes
there's only so much you can do
there's only so much you can say
there's only so much you can hope

but as the cliche goes,
that's life.

I'm not trying to preach.

Just saying.

We all deal
& that's what makes us human.

But,
no one said you had to do it alone.
