when you're up onstage, the lights are so bright you can barely see the crowd
& you feel the rushhh

your art ends up becoming a side project in life

but then again

so, why?

I was in the bathroom of parra library today
& noticed a middle-aged asian woman just scrubbing somethin in the sink
but I didn't think anything of it

Looking closer, I noticed she was washing clothes.
She looked dishevelled & was a bit of a mess.
Just beside her, lay a large backpack, with a half-eaten loaf of bread on top.

There's usually alotta homeless ppl around parra library
so I'm used to it yea?
Like most other times, I thought, damn.. poor woman
as I washed my hands & watched her scrub

However, a girl who looked only a few years younger than me
Who had messy hair & was wearing a red jumper & camo cargo shorts
Walked in
& spoke to her mum, the person scrubbing, in korean:

"Mum, the library's going to be closing soon. Quick, we'll have to leave here,"

...

and that's why.

I'm wondering what stopped me now.

Is it what stops everyone who's asked to donate anythin to charity?

If I distance myself from this, I won't feel a thing?

It's not my fault they ended up that way?

Doing things like the red shield appeal next sunday is a way to feel like you're doing something right...

the awards was for filmink mag & it had a bit of a twist cos it gave diff awards like the movie critics most love to hate & the best rapper in a movie

prue came along as my late bday treat for her ;)

While we were waiting for her to arrive, we were standing behind the paparazzi who I think were pretty bored since this wasn't even a big thang anyway... only obscure aus celebs turned up while we were there, so they started snapping any hot women & their partners.

they were shootin this one grl and one photographer was all like,
Smile! SMILE! beautiful! you look great hun!

then, as sooned as he turned around he told his friend,
shit, they're all so fucking conservative.

want some boob flashes? ...try hollywood son.

lol the two-facedness of the entertainment industry,

so, we went down the red carpet (yea, it was red) & passed yumi that asian presenter on channel v & headed inside... the state theatre's all class ;)

the show wasn't that great, but it was worth it for the freebies haha
